Poly Aluminium Chloride Powder & Solution

Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is a water-soluble, acidic, yellow solution used in water treatment:

  • Composition PAC is made up of aluminum, chlorine, hydrogen, and oxygen, and has the chemical formula [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m.
  • Uses

PAC is used in a variety of water treatment applications,
  • Drinking water treatment
  • Wastewater treatment
  • Process water treatment
  • Effluent treatment
  • Swimming pool water treatment
  • Paper and pulp industry sizing
  • How it works : PAC extracts and clumps together contaminants, colloidal, and suspended matter, which forms floc that can be removed by filters.

Effectiveness: PAC is most effective when the pH is close to 7.0, but can perform over a wide pH range (5.0 – 8.0).

Safety: PAC is corrosive at higher concentrations, so it's advisable to carry out a "Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health" (COSHH) assessment before use.

PAC is also known as PAX or Polyaluminium Hydroxide Chloride Sulphate Solution.

    Applications :

PAC is available in liquid and powder forms. It's known for its ability to perform effectively over a wide pH range and in cold temperatures. PAC is also efficient at coagulating, produces less waste sludge, and has a quick reaction time Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is a water treatment chemical with many uses, including: Water Treatment Chemical 10%-18% Poly Aluminium Chloride PAC Liquid for Paper Mill

    Water treatment:
PAC is used to treat drinking water, wastewater, swimming pool water, and industrial effluents. It's an efficient coagulant that removes contaminants like suspended solids and organic matter. PAC is also used to remove heavy metals like iron, manganese, chromium, and lead.
    Paper and textile production:
PAC is used to increase drainage rates, increase sizing efficiency, and reduce cationic demand.
    Oil refining:
PAC is used in the oil-water separation process.
    Antiperspirant and deodorant production:
PAC is used in the production of antiperspirants and deodorants.
    Chemical manufacturing:
PAC is used in chemical manufacturing.
